Jannie: Today Ama will start now with Part 1: Some questions from HC for Genopets.
Jannie: 1. Could you give us a brief introduction about yourself and project Genopets ?
Benjamin Tse: Hello lovely people 🙂 m’name is Benjamin. I’m the co-founder and Chief Product Officer for Genopets. I’m the imagination guy – Genopets was a crazy idea of mine in 2018. Thanks to the NFT summer of 2019 and the play-to-earn revolution, this crazy little idea is becoming a reality.
As you all probably already know, Genopets is a free-to-play, mid core mobile game that rewards you for getting healthier, first physically – then hopefully someday – emotionally and mentally too. A Genopet is your very own unique spirit animal. It’s a procedurally generated, modular 3D pet that is customizable and evolves as you train!
We coined the term “move-to-earn” by linking your phone’s pedometer and your fitness wearables to the health and growth of your Genopet and its performance
Jannie: Thank you for giving us your information and project.
2. Can you tell us some of the highlights of Genopets compared to other competitors?
Benjamin Tse: As far as we know, we don’t have any direct competitors (yet) – Genopets brings together three worlds. Gamers, crypto enthusiasts, and athletes
We are the first game to link physical movement to a digital game world
On blockchain
1. We are unlike any other nurturing/evolution game as our Genopets evolve over 12 stages and 77 levels (a loottt of work and art going into this!)
2. We are mobile-first. We will be the first NFT/crypto game built first for mobile. We are partnered with Stardust to abstract away all of the difficult web3/crypto steps so the game is easy to play and get started for non-crypto people.
3. By taking away the complexity of crypto, we are understandable by the mass market. One way to think of us is as an enhanced Strava/Fitbit experience using pets and a deep game world
4. Unlike other play-to-earn games, it does not cost hundreds or thousands of dollars to start playing. We designed our tokenomics around a free-to-play model that allows players to enjoy the Genopets experience without a huge up-front investment
5. Our long term vision is to create a game layer around life itself. All things we can do in the physical world, whether its walking, running, swimming, meditating, sleeping, eating- anything that we can track accurate information on- we will incorporate into gameplay
Jannie: It sounds very interesting and engaging ?

3. Why did you choose to build Genopets on Solana platform? so what is Genopets’s marketing plan to attract the majority of new users to trade on your platform?
Benjamin Tse: Choosing Solana was an obvious choice – a decision by my extremely talented and experienced co-founder, CEO and CTO Albert Chen (he’s the one who is able to make my crazy ideas possible)
Solana’s extremely fast transaction speed and extremely low transaction cost are light years ahead of any other blockchain and perfect for gaming
It removes so many obstacles and headaches around game design like high gas fees
And makes room for many powerful features in the future
What we envision for the future of Genopets would be hindered a lot by the technical and financial barriers of other blockchains
Our marketing plan has many dimensions
Thanks to the physical nature of our game, we are able to draw from the 1. game world through our partnerships and investors in the streaming space (we are working with 100thieves, cloud9, and many others) 2. The athletic world – we are working with athletes such as Keisuke Honda of Japanese soccer fame and Tobias Harris of the 76er’s . We are looking at the MMA world, dance world, fitness influencer worlds, etc. 3. Music/Dance festivals – we have strong synergy with music events – dance to earn! We are exploring these partnerships now. 4. Fitness partnerships are something we envision being a big part of our expansion with companies like Peloton and Lululemon, as the world is recovering from COVID, we see how people are moving towards at-home workouts guided by digital devices.
Beyond that, as technology improves and wearables become increasingly advanced, we see the possibility of many areas and partnerships to expand into
Jannie: 4. Can you share for everyone what is the next plan in the future of Genopets? And when will the game be released?
Benjamin Tse: Haha yes
I am just as excited for the next steps
And working hard every day towards that
Haha the team and I have barely slept since March
Coming up very soon is our Genesis Genopet NFT drop, our IEO, our Habitat drop, and our closed beta release. All of this by end of the year
In Q1 of 2022 we will be working out the PvP and battling
Our approach toward game release is iterative. We will be releasing the game in phases
We want to work closely with our community to design each part of the game in chunks to make sure we’re listening to feedback and making sure the game is aligned with what our community wants
We take the game design very seriously because of how excited and hopeful everyone is – and how deeply this game will affect many people’s day to day lives
We will be releasing the closed beta first to a limited number of people in our community by end of year (join our discord and become part of our DNA group for access!)
From there we will both broaden and deepen the gameplay based on how players react.

I try my best to make sure everyone gets what they’re looking for
Regarding staking
Yes. We absolutely are building many incentives and systems: gameplay, financial, social, and political rewards for staking.
From a high level, we envision $GENE holders will have a voice in the game design and how we iterate from our foundations. We see financial rewards for $GENE stakers, taking from best practices in the space right now
In general, we will be offering as many staking rewards as we can along all dimensions as long as it stays within the boundaries of keeping our tokenomics and economy balanced and sustainable
2. Community building/international/localization
Our discord currently has over 100k members from all over the world
Nigeria, Iran, Philippines, Korea, japan, just to name a few
As stated at the beginning, we are extremely community focused
We understand that the community is our lifeblood and we are building this game together
We will be making every effort from a language level, community management level, and process level to be internationally focused and inclusive
We are working with many guilds (such as YGG) who will be bringing in players from all over the world
3. Vision/goals/ambition
As stated previously, our ultimate vision is to make Genopets a game layer over life
Phase 1 and 2 you’ve heard about already
We start by making walking fun
The focus of the beta and initial launch is all about the player’s relationship with their Genopet. Taking care of it, growing it, evolving it.
from there it’s developing what you can do with your genopet
We are working on a deep narrative story
The Genoverse is being built out as we speak
And then battling
In phase 3 and beyond
We envision AR, XR
In other words,
In addition to placing you inside the Genoverse,
We will be bringing the Genoverse into our real world
Phase 4 and beyond
Leveraging Genopets to create meaningful social change and help. Through community rewards across dimensions of physical, mental, social, and economic help

Winter is coming
We;ve fortunately closed our round and have enough assets to last us a while. We are using our IEO and funds to establish a strong warchest to last a bear market. We expect to build our vision with the money we’re able to raise between now and whenever the market crashes.
@Alecwise33: Can you tell us about your team members? are they qualified and professional in their fields? what are the recruiting qualifications for team members for your extraordinary project?
Benjamin Tse: Our team has over 50 years of combined experience in building digital products
I’ve been a UI/UX designer for 15 years, ran my own design agency, became a CTO and CPO for many startups. This is my 3rd blockchain project
Albert and I won the EOS global hackathon in 2018.
Out of over 2000 projects
That was actually the predecessor to Genopets
Jay is at Google and he was one of the first hires at EOS, and led them to market
And we are partnered with Concept Art House, who did the artwork for PubG, Fortnite, Hearthstone and many other Triple A games.
@LesleeHurst: What’s the focus of the Your Project now? Build and develop products, win customers and users or partnerships? Are there any plans to burn or block unsold $ Your Project tokens? control flexibility, cost and security?
Benjamin Tse: The focus of our project is simply, building a great product. We are dedicated to building a fun and sustainable game that will last many years
@BrynnGilliam: Almost 3/4 of investors are focused purely on the price of token in short term instead of understanding the real value and health of the project. Could you tell us on motivations and benefits for investors to hold your token in long term?
Benjamin Tse: We fully expect short term speculating investors to dump. We have been in the crypto market ourselves as investors since 2016. Our team and our investors have a 4 years lock up. So the majority of the tokens cannot be dumped. This will maintain price stability
I myself will not ever see any rewards until I’ve delivered a game you all love in 4 years
@DaliaLambert: Q. Today in every sector our slogan is “PRIVACY IS OUR RIGHT”. How would your project offer a Blockchain Privacy Protection for users? Your project has great features. There must be an experienced team behind. Can you tell some about your team and their experiences in the market?
Benjamin Tse: The predecessor for Genopets was Geneos. Originally our vision was to create a data marketplace using blockchain which would store your genetic data securely, privately, anonymously. That would allow you to earn money from medical researchers for the value of your health data.
We were going to use federated learning and secure multiparty compute to make a truly secure and anonymous way for you to own and profit off your data
We hold privacy and security extremely dearly to our ethos. This is part of Genopets today as well. Because of blockchain, we dont have to make money off your data.
We want everyone to own their own data.
@ClemenciaCrockett: I want to support your project, Tell us more about the Ambassador Program and in what ways can we participate ?

Have been building products our whole lives
We’ve been through hell and back several times
Me and Albert have worked together for over 10 years
For once, because of NFTs and blockchain
We’re able to make something truly meaningful
I was once very ill and I had to figure out how to become healthy on my own. I was also once extremely poor. So we wanted to make something that could help with both
In short, that’s why we’re making Genopets.
